The conical rotary compressor (CRC) technology manufactured by the company differs from conventional compression methods by using two rotors, one placed inside the other, which turn in the same direction but at different speeds, compressing the air as it travels down the conical screw.
This scalable and compact technology is capable of producing high pressure in a single stage and can be designed to meet the specific requirements of each installation. To date, sizes have ranged from as small as 40mm in length delivering 80W of power to industrial pallet-based systems 400mm in length and delivering 15kW of power.
Applications for this innovative technology include integration into products across a wide range of sectors, such as refrigeration, heat pumps and manufacturing. The technology is also integrated into the Vert compressor range which is targeted at fibre optic cable installation and hand tools. Quiet operation, at just 60dBA, means that work within residential areas can continue day and night with minimal disturbance for householders.
The latest addition to the Vert compressor range is the V14Lite, which uses Stäubli RSI connector technology. Stäubli developed the 3-in-1 active safety system to eliminate the risk of violent hose ejection under pressure. Stäubli RSI quick coupling technology therefore provides a reliable and safe solution even in the most demanding applications. More compact and ergonomic than traditional quick connect fittings, the RSI quick release coupling provides users with a truly efficient solution for connecting and disconnecting pneumatic circuits. The RSI compressed air connectors conform to ISO 4414 for disconnection backlash prevention.
