State police at Frackville – Times News Online

State police at the Frackville barracks released information on the following investigations.

• A criminal mischief incident was reported at 3 p.m. Sept. 10 along Delano Road in Rush Township.

A 2010 Nissan Versa owned by a 71-year-old Tamaqua man was scratched and dented while it was parked in the man’s driveway. The suspect is not known.

• A 39-year-old woman from Cabin Lane, Ryan Township, said on Aug. 14 a check was placed in her mailbox made out for $546. She later checked her bank account and realized the check had been cashed for $2,000.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.

• A black wallet was found in Mahanoy Township along Interstate 81. Someone brought the wallet to their headquarters at 10:32 a.m. Sept. 8.

• On Sept. 12 at 5 a.m. troopers were dispatched to the Schuylklill County Municipal Authority property located at Route 61 and Darkwater Road, in New Castle Township. On scene troopers learned a catalytic converter was removed from a parked 2015 GMC Sierra owned by the authority.

A 57-year-old man from Cherry Valley Road, Cass Township, reported over the course of a two-week period two five-gallon gas cans filled with gas, a half-inch Socket set and a half-inch impact gun were removed from his property. Value of the missing items was estimated at $890.

State police at Frackville reported on the following incidents that occurred in Schuylkill County.

• On Sept 17, at 8:29 a.m. troopers responded to the area of New Philadelphia and Silver Creek roads in Blythe Township, for assist another agency.

Two juveniles, both age 16 from Port Carbon, were driving a off-road vehicle in the woods. They fell asleep in the vehicle and were spotted by a passing motorists who called emergency services.

The two had consumed alcohol. The juvenile’s parents were notified and the two were released to their parents. Charges are pending.

• On Sept. 16 at 9 p.m. troopers received a report from a 34-year-old woman from Ringtown that a X-Aqua boom box, black, with disco lights, a black max chainsaw and a small three gallon portable air compressor, blue, were removed from outside her home. Total value of the missing items is $480.
