If your AC is also facing a cooling issue, here are five ways you can fix the problem and improve the machine’s efficiency.
Dirty air filters are usually the most common problem that air conditioners face. Uncleaned air filters can impact the cooling system. In such an instance, one should clean the air filter with a clean cloth or directly under running water. For the air conditioner machine to work efficiently, it is a good idea to clean the air filter at a regular interval.
Faulty motors are another common issue that air conditioners face and that can impact the cooling system. In such a case, it is advisable to call the company service center. Such an issue is best handled by a professional.
Damaged compressors can also impact the cooling system of an air conditioner. A compressor is an important component in an air conditioning unit as it manages the flow of refrigerant between the evaporator and condenser. To get a damaged compressor replaced, professional help is required.
Sometimes, when the room doesn’t cool, even after the air conditioner is running constantly, it is possible to open corners. It is advisable to close all doors, windows and even turn off exhaust fans if any, for the room to cool faster and save up on your electricity bill at the end of the month.
If the AC stops cooling suddenly, the thermostat should be checked. During such a situation, one should turn the thermostat settings to auto mode. It is advisable to always keep the AC thermostat in auto mode instead of On mode.
