If you think the Devel Sixteen was outlandish, wait till you dive into the magical world of the Alieno Unum!

If you were to imagine insane hypercars today, what would they pack? Wild futuristic looks with bleeding edge battery technology, because EVs are the future, right? Well, your dreams are no match in front of the Alieno Unum which is a hypercar slated to hit roads between 2024-2027. The Unum is a wild creation of Bulgarian automaker Alieno and has some of the wildest specs we have ever "dreamt" of.

This will be the automaker's second creation, after the Arcanum that was showcased four years ago. There are two types of powertrain destined for the Unum. The "base" unit can comprise up to 24 electric motors (six on each wheel) to churn out a staggering 5,000+ horses. Then there are the Sci-Fi-inspired models that come with thrusters to blow your mind further!

Everything from the design to the battery technology is unrealistic. But the wildest aspect of them all is the fact that Alieno wants to buy Lamborghini from the Volkswagen group! This whole gig looks like a very dreamy project of a college student, backed by binge-watching lots of Sci-Fi movies. Their first car - the Arcanum is yet to leave the digital world. But hey, time will be the judge. Now, we will let you indulge in the dreamy world of Alieno.

Alieno is a new-age automobile maker that is quite bold in its claims. Founder, CEO, and CTO Ahmed Merchev has also openly showcased the inspiration that the Alieno Unum has taken from Italian exotic maker Lamborghini. He states that the Lamborghini Aventador in Azzuro Thetys is his favorite gas-powered car. And, if Lambo had offered an electric version of the Aventador back in 2015, he wouldn't have bothered setting up the Alieno brand!

So, Mr. Ahmed openly claims that the Unum all-electric hypercar is the Lambo EV that hasn't been yet! Things get wilder in the press release where Ahmed mentions that in a later stage he would like to acquire or partner with Lamborghini, as he believes that the technology that Alieno is working on can contribute to "the development of the spirit of Lamborghini in the future". We love this dude!

The Alieno Unum is powered by some of the most outrageous powertrains we have come across. The Alieno Unum is offered in two distinctive formats - THF (The Heavenly Founder) and TRS (The Rocket Successor). The THF uses electric power as its source and is a modified version of the powertrain seen in Alieno's first (yet to be seen) hypercar - the Arcanum. The THF will be offered in four versions - RP2, RP3, RP4, and RP5.

The RP2 is powered by 12 electric motors and will churn out 2,610 hp. The RP3 gets 14 motors and 3,481 hp. The RP4 packs 20 motors and churns out 4,351 hp. And the top-spec RP5 packs six electric motors per wheel (a total of 24 motors) and churns out an insane 5,221 hp and 6,550 lb-ft of torque.

Oh! But this isn't the wildest part of its powertrain options. That would be the TRS model which adds compressed air to the wild electric power. There are no solid explanations for this dreamy technology. But according to Alieno, the TRS Unums will pack a system called the "Octopus Synergistic System" which will pack 24 rocket cold air thrusters.

This system will utilize pressurized air to generate thrust and power the wicked hypercar. The compressed air will be stored under a pressure of up to 700 bar behind the seats in composite cylinders. In its most powerful hypothetical stage, the Alieno Unum can hit a top speed of more than 363 mph!

The THF Unums will be powered by an innovative battery made up of Graphene LiPo cells and supercapacitors. There will be three versions on offer - a 180kWh Street Battery Pack, a 120 kWh Track Battery Pack, and a 60 kWh Race Battery Pack. These battery packs come with a maximum voltage of 800V and can apparently charge from 0-100% using a 350 kW charger in as low as 10 minutes! The 0-80 % time is even wilder at just 4 minutes.

As for the thruster-packed TRS Unums, the cylinders can supposedly be refilled in three ways. In the first two cases with air recharge centers readily available, the Unum can use either its in-built electric compressor or a more powerful external compressor. And the most complex third type is using a larger external container with compressed air; just like filling it up at a gas station.

Yup, both don't exist! The Alieno Unum looks like one of those unnamed fast cars from the GTA franchise. But this hypercar is not just a bunch of blank wedges put together. Encho Encheve, the chief design officer at Alieno says that apart from Lamborghini, the design inspiration is from the Xenomorph Queen alien from the cult-classic Aliens movie along with all the Batmobiles, various insects, and even crustaceans. All in all, it is a wild mash-up that aptly visualizes a hypercar with over 5,000 horses!

The Alieno Unum, just like its stablemate - the Arcanum, is confined to the digital world. But the automaker states that their first hypercars will be out in the wild between 2024-2027. Alieno is already accepting pre-orders with a waiting period of 18-30 months. The electric-only Alieno Unum range from €1.8-2.7 million (~$1.84-2.8 million), and the thruster-equipped ones start from €3-4.5 million (~$3.1-4.6 million).
